Hello!I`ve got a question for you.I`ve got Nod32 AV.And i want a firewall for my security.I`m not so good in this domain so i`m asking you how could i procure a good firewall and what firewall should it be good together with this AV?

I think a lot depends on how much you want to spend. I used F-Secure Internet Security until recently (combined AV and Firewall) which was excellent but got to be very expensive.

I recently switched to "Outpost" firewall (6 months freebie on a magazine cover disk) and downloaded Avast (free AV) and so far it is proving to be effective.

If you don't want to pay for a firewall then I believe the one from Kerio is good - I didn't find it very easy to configure but it did the job well when I tried it.

I'm sure people here will let you know what works for them.

Do a Google search if you want the Kerio stuff, I believe it is still free and is good. Zone Alarm is also a popular choice, no doubt someone will let you know if it is effective.

for firewall free versions of zonealarm and sygate do a good job, but better yet, stay away from windows, at least when dealing with money

I've been using zonealarm for several months. It has not betrayed my faith yet.

i have to say norton. It is so because they alert you really fast and delete the viruses easier then others well in my opinion anyways.

I use ZoneAlarm. Best features of it are: it works, and it's free
If you are ready to pay, the choice is much bigger. But you don't loose much if you use a free one anyway. It can block incoming connections and programs from your PC trying to access the internet, and it alerts you every time a new program tries it. What else does it need...

Thanks a lot mrGSH ! I don`t have enough money,now, for investing in such things.So i`ll try a free version.Probably zonealarm.It sounds more popular.
