New Rules/Procedures for Bannings

We`ve been listening to what you`ve been telling us.

Firstly, we created a new rule re Trolling

#11) NO TROLLING - mischievously manufacturing inflammatory opinions in an attempt to stir up disharmony and discord. No posting up a stream of off-topic drivel or being clumsily provocative.

This is now included in the list of warnings.

As far as bannings of established members is concerned, this is the new procedure, with immediate effect.

If, from now on, any Supermod wants to ban an established member (other than for blatant spam, Exchange folder scamming etc), OR, to issue a warning for something like trolling, personal attacks etc, which would lead to a ban, then that mod will put the matter before a panel of three. The panel will consist of 2 senior Moderators, and one Administrator. It will just depend on who is around at the time.

It will then be discussed by the panel, a decision reached, and the mod advised of the outcome.

Hopefully this will help to calm things down in the forum, leading to less verbal attacks from the members, less complaints from the individuals banned, and less aggravation for the individual mod concerned.

The fact is that the vast majority of bannings are for newbies, spammers and the like, but, on occasion, that isn`t the case.

A friend of mine was permanantly banned yesterday while posting ""paid" in the hyip section.he sent email to admin and a message in AIM trying to find out what was the reason for that ban when he never got any previous warnings nor was he ever trolling or attacking anyone on this board,according to him he was just hitting submit for a paid post in a program he is a member in when he got a bot notification for permanant ban,is this is how things working here without any past warnings a member get banned without providing any info over the ground for this action,he has no clue what so ever what is the reason and asked me to try and inquire for him since he can't get in and did not get response yet to his email and aim message to talkgold trying to find out the cause for it or if perhaps some mistake took place here.could anyone of this board check why was he banned and post it or pm me so i can get a hold of him,his user id on this board was/is "GlobalBiz" and if anyone of the stuff could take the time to look into it and reply would be nice ,so this guy is not left in the dark without any idea why out of the blue he gets that kind of notice without any explanation or past negative record on this board.

Your friend was banned for having multiple usernames, the warning bot did give the reason.

Please tell your friend we have all his usernames logged (including the female ones he's used today) and that we have no time to accommodate his games.
