Sure, most banks have safe deposit boxes for there clients, but you will need a bank account by this bank. Costs and needed documents are different in any case. But Anonymous boxes are not possible in western europe.

Call the banks and ask.

you do not need to have account to have safe deposit box

you usually need only one form of identification like passport

What banks/companies offer boxes without an account. Documentation is not the problem.

I'm sure most banks in any of european countries offer such services.

Why not just call you few of your local banks?

Or at least tell us the country you are interested too.

Western Europe MUST be Spain, Portugal, France, Italy, England, Denmark, Sweden, Germany, Holland etc right?

Well let me breif you dude:

You will in 99,999% of the cases NEED to be a client with the bank and not just a NEW client.
Secondly there are in 90% of all the cases waiting lists to have a deposit box and banks ALWAYS rank them after how important you are.
If the bank only has 100 boxes and 10 are available , why should they give it to you if they have 2 better clients that are also waiting?

So get real and get realistic ...

I can tell you that fees vary from 80-200€ depending on the bank.
And again: They always require that you ARE a client with the bank, and that means that you have already been through a registration and approval process. Forget about all that anonymity talk ... if you want to be anonymous and "untraceable" you'll have to open up a relationship with the bank, based on fake ID. Good luck with that one if you get caught.

I never said I wanted anonymity anywhere. I said documentation is not the problem. I don't want to open a bank account that I don't need . I was asking if there were private deposit boxes companies (not banks).

It's easy to get a safe deposit box in banks based in Eastern Europe. And unlike banks in Western Europe the only requirement is your passport. I'm talking about CZ, PL, HR, HU, etc. I have one in Croatia myself. So I'm speaking from experience. I chose it because of the location. I'm a frequent visitor there. Beautiful place to spend a holiday. HTH
