Hello All. Anybody use Swissquote's trading Platform to make stock trades?

Hello All

. This is my first post and I am glad to be on this forum. For all those with a bank account with Swiss Quote, do any of you also have a Trading account with them? If so, how good is it for making stock trades on the European stock Exchanges? Also, as a side note, any fears that Swiss Quote will be forced to close U.S. accounts like I have read on this forum that UBS was forced into. Thanks.

I looked at this pretty seriously. In the end I went with Thales (out of Panama) and InteractiveBrokers through a structure if i need markets thales doesn't have.

SwissQuote looks ok, but if you're aggressively trading some of the non-euro exchanges (like i do) the commissions looked a little high (for me).

Curious to hear from someone who uses them though.

I did several trades of listed structured products (German and Swiss ones) and have absolutely no complains. Swissquote have separate arrangements with several leading investment banks which allows you to trade their structured products and some ETFs for flat fee of 9 euros regardless the size of transaction. So far the execution was very fast, customer server is excellent (I placed one trade over the phone with no additional charge). Besides being a good stock broker, they are good as a bank. Once again, their customer service as a bank is very commendable.

Regarding your question about the USA customers, they do not allow US customer in the first place. Moreover in the contract it is clearly stated that if you become a US resident for any reason (or if they find out that you hide this fact) they close your account.
