This is really exciting news for those interested in the US and Canadian stock markets - and especially for those of you whose portfolios have been devastated over the last few months.
For the last seven months, I've been helping to test a private investment advisory service. I've been investing for a few years, listening to what Cramer says on TV, doing OK, not great. But trading takes time, and I've got a busy life, too busy to really give investing the time it needs to be successful. The system is really easy to follow. Here's the benefits I see:
- The service only recommends trades. You make them in your own brokerage account, and your money is always in your own control. No opportunity to be scammed!
- The recommendations are only made once a week. You don't have to watch over your computer day and night, trading every day.
- It only trades ETFs - not individual stocks. Unlike stocks, which can tank 50% in a day, ETFs are much more stable. Sure there's ups and downs, there's no
real investing system that doesn't go down some weeks.
- Each strategy only holds one ETF at a time - giving us lower investment costs. Some places like Gorilla Trades can have 30 recommendations on the go at the same time - and the returns people have been getting there are weak!
- There are only 6 trades per year ON AVERAGE per portfolio. At $10-$20 per trade, a fast-trading system can lose more in trading fees than it makes!
There are several of these "black box" advisory services on the 'net. I've looked at a lot of them - and none of them provide the simplicity with the returns. And most of them cost a whole lot more than this service.
Now this is nothing like the usual HYIP/Forex stuff I see on the board, but I knew there would be some serious investors here who would be interested. As part of the test team, I agreed to spread the word when they were ready to go public. And it's almost that time. They're going live in a couple of weeks.

In case you're wondering what I've made so far this year - here's a taste. As of last weekend, Sept 27th, the American portfolio is UP 8.3%. The Canadian one is up 19.5% That compares to a loss of 18.4% on the S&P and a loss of 9% on the TSE. So most importantly, the two strategies are beating their benchmarks by 27.6% on average.
