I think many SEOs have become far too focused on driving huge quantities of traffic and less considerate about getting the right people to the site. It’s less about “how much” and more about “who.” There are too few out there who measure and test to know which types of customer visits are the most profitable. I wish they would because it brings the SEO discipline, value, and execution into focus.

SEO means Search Engine Optimization. If you get on the first page of Google (1st place, for example), you'll get huge amounts of traffic (if the keyword is good). Now... Who will search for that keyword, if not people interested in it?

It's totally targeted traffic. Traffic from SE's is the best, always.

Agree with you Anggie, most webmaster will choose the fast way to get traffic. They are not consider for longterm and continuous traffic.

Yes.... but getting long term traffic is harder and requires time. I feel targetted traffic comes only when we post right things at right places. I mean forex blog at forex forum or community. Right???

yeah it is true theinvestreview they do not consider long term goals for SEO just short term but like sophia says it is very hard to plan long term. Obviously you have to post in the right places but there is no harm in broadening the market and finding newbies who amybe are not on forums etc

i think SEO is the best way to generate continous flow of free traffic to your site .if yur site get highly ranked at the search pages in it's niche,you start getting continous flow of curious visitors,but most people try to generate spontaneous traffic with other methods and suffer in the long run.
SEO is not very easy to learn but it's worth every second of your time.

but how can you actually get to rank number 1 on SEO? isnt that so hard to do? or complicated? you really need to be internet savvy dont you?
