Help please,some is trying to hack my account

please help.some is try to hack my egold account.the good thing is that l set my security settings high on my account and have proper security on my computer.only thing is that egold sends me an email daily,some times twice in a day that there was a failed attempt on my account.

Are you sure that egold did send you this email?

Don't click on links in this email.

If i was you, i should phone egold and ask if these attempts are real?

Before you phone to egold make sure; you have all contact information filled in also your phonenumber; maybe they will call you to verify; so did. they do it for me.

I didn't knew that egold was sending these mails.

First do not work with Internet Explorer; use Firefox latest version with Noscript.
Use firewall firstly and block all outcoming traffic.
Use virsuscanner.
Use ad-aware and spybot.
For your passwords don't type it; use Roboform.
Make a new egoldaccount and send your money to the new account.

ps: be very carefull

if it is a large amount just sell your egold to goldex or an other good exchange; untill you have the time to check all your security.

there isnt any links in this email.l set my accsent with my ip number so if anyone with a different ip no. tries to access my account the accsaent pin is required.Im using firefox at the moment.my account was hacked before and I learnt a great deal about security.I scan my computer almost everyday just to be sure.

I have xoftspyse and avg antivirus software loaded.Is it possible to track a ip address.

It is better to phone to egold and ask if the email came from them.
High actinel settings mean nothing, my egold was hacked and my actinel settings were high.
You can track his ip adress, but maybe it's a proxy.
It's good if you scan your computer everyday.
Do you have a firewall; it is a MUST.

yes.have windows xp firewall.the person just tried a few minutes ago.got another email.will contact egold.

Not sounding good, I've heard this same story a good number of times before, the last time you were hacked did you format the hard drive and start again ?

The only sure fire way of removing trojans, virues and malware. Never assume because your 3 AVs ,4 spyware scanners and 2 trojan killers says its clean, it actually is.....

Windows XP firewall is as good as useless, it only filters incoming traffic, any application or malicious software that has found its way onto your PC can broadcast whatever it wants back over the internet without you knowing

1. check the email header and make sure if its from eg

2. if its an eg email, then your passphrase was comprised, so were possible of your other accounts!

3. tighten your system with updated firewall, antivirus, antispyware systems etc

4. change all your accts passwords and settings

5. disable "automation" of all your eg accts!!!!
no use for normal members if you dont use client software to pay or check history

6. never use IE series browsers for autosurfing
