In theory, this is a good option, but in practice, I believe this will actually do harm. As an example, I first found this place when I was surfing for information on debit cards. It was this single point that brought me here, and in fact, kept me here. I am not really into HYIP's or other things concerning this and rarely do I even read in these folders. It was simply the information, products, and the ability to ask questions in this forum that I decided on TG. Granted, I have met some good people here, but when I was a newbie, I didn't know them. I never asked that many questions, but having the ability to do so allowed me to feel as though I was part of this place.
I truly believe that if you take this away from these newbies, that we will loose good people in the end. I understand the exchange forum, but in debit cards? I mean, newbies want to ask questions... to feel as though they are getting personal responses from the people that are selling here. That has been taken away. I mean, if people have to wait 50 days to post in here, how are they to ask for someone to sell them a debit card? Most sellers here do not post IM id's or email addresses. Some DO have websites, but who really wants to buy from a site and take the chance if you don't have a way to follow up?
For example, a user sees the website posted in a signature and that the seller is a regular on TG. He thinks this ok and buys. However, what if one of these sellers flips and starts scamming, like has been done here so many times before? Then the user has no way to let us know or any type of recourse.
This rule was obviously meant to protect us and I thank everyone responsible for that, but there has to be a better way. Perhaps making a rule that says that nobody can sell on here without having 50/50 is forbidden and then leaving it to the folder mod (with the help of the regulars) to give warnings and correct the rule breakers?

Anyway, just my 10 cents.
I was also drawn to the debit card folder. However, you can still contact the sellers via pm or their other contact information. The thing that they are trying to prevent is the newbie sellers. In order to do this, they have to make some sacrifices. If someone is really drawn to a good forum, they will in time be productive in other ways before they are granted priviledge. If I were a newbie, yeah at first I would be upset, but when you are active on this forum, 50 days is pretty short.

While I agree that they are trying to prevent newbie sellers, something else needs to be done. If I had to wait 50 days just to simply ask questions about something I was wanting to buy, I would have moved on to another forum. 50 days is about 2 months. If I take the time to look something up online and then go to a forum to read about it, I probably needed it quicker than 2 months.
When I joined, I didn't think that I would get so interested. I just came here to buy something. Forums are not for everyone and not everyone has the time to enjoy them.
I think that something less drastic is called for. Also, what about great new products that come out and people decide to sell so they join different forums. In a way, all this rule does is help the current sellers offer it before the newbies and that would be almost as bad as what goes on at MMG. (I said ALMOST.)
Anyway, I hope we can find a happy medium or the admin just tell me to shut up.

they could have a separate folder for both money exchange and debit card. such as the buying and selling of debit cards should have the stringent rules just like the member to member money exchange, but they may try to implement another discussion only folder for both. And whomever tries to buy or sell outside the restricted forums would get warned/banned. That way you can ask away all the question you want as long as it doesn't come to asking to buy/sell in the discussion folder and in pm through the discussion folder.
it will in someways prevent newbies scammers , especially the increase of the members days. However more precautions need to be put inforce to reduce the scammers numbers.
Our other option is to make it so that newbies can reply but not start threads. What are your guys opinions?
