Gee TMNuts, you would not be a VPN Provider would you?
StrongVPN allows customers access to over 1198 IP's, on 30 Servers, in 7 countries around the world. It's amazing you didn't find a location fast enough for you. What did our 24x7x365 Live support say?
Do you have any traces?
Customers looking into buying a VPN should be careful on who they sign up with.
"StrongVPN has an absolutely terrible coustomer service and in many ****ries the speed is so low it's practically unusable. I have a 20 Mbps line from my ISP. Tested to 18 Mbps and StrongVPN is still unusable. So they say they are going to change me to another service, 2 weeks later. Im still waiting. I try to contact live support, they deliberately shut me off (start conversation then close it the secound after, without saying anything or letting me say anything).I would reccomend everyone to stay FAR away from this company. Theyre not even close to as good as their commercials say, in fact. Hotspot Shield (free software) gave me far better results then StrongVPN. Unfortunantly there is a 10GB transfer cap on hotspot shield so I cant use it for another month"
Hi Xorders, We will have some new lower price packages coming in the next few weeks. These packages will be based out of San Francisco mainly. Not sure if we will ever get down to a $4 shared IP package though.
Use of personal VPN is a very useful and important security task, but using services of others raises other concerns. Who is that service provider, what do they do with your logs?...
The solution is you very own personal vps-based vpn, using OpenVPN software.
You order cheap vps server from hosting company and ask someone to install OpenVPN package there for you (this might be for a one time fee, but it is worth it)

Sorry, but hosting your own VPN is a silly idea if what you're interested in is anonymity.
Think about it. The IP system is set up so everything is traceable. If you log on to your ISP, they assign you an IP and record when you log on and off. They may also be using a packet sniffer to track all your activity, but at the least, if they receive an inquiry or complaint about the use of that IP while you were using it, you are nailed.
With a VPN, the VPN provider stands between you and the world. The IP is traceable to them, not you. Let's say you're file sharing and the RIAA comes along with a cease and desist letter. It goes first to the primary entity, probably the webhosting company where the server is located. They then bring it to the attention of the customer to whom they assigned the IP. If that is a VPN provider, that's the end of it unless the webhosting company brings so much pressure that the VPN service needs to get rid of their customer or move him.
If you're the guy renting the VPN and hosting your own VPN, they have you cold. Most likely, the webhosting company will cut you off pronto AND give your name to the complainant.
What you're really buying with a VPN is a barrier between you and the world when it comes to tracing IPs.
And as for logs--we destroy ours every 7 days. We only keep them that long for troubleshooting purposes.
I have had used VPN service provided by http://secretsline.net/
