Web based meaning they don't actually have a trading platform. Just a bunch of dodgy webpages?

Oanda good broker, but it did not support the MT-4

The definition for a "good broker" is quite wide. I have been trading with WSD for quite long now. Some of the essentials that you really want in your broker would be: safety of funds - this could be achieved if the broker offers client segregated accounts, regulated or non regulated, tight spreads, currency pairs that you can trade in etc. After giving all these a thought, WSD actually matched all my requirements.

2.) Platform
Analyze the brokers trading platform. Are you comfortable with it? Does it have all the necessary information you need to trade? Is there a market news feed somewhere in the corner or somewhere else on the site?

3.) Mini/Micro Accounts
If you are a beginner, try looking for a broker which offers Mini & even micro accounts. For just a few hundred bucks you can test your trading skills, hone your market savy & learn the tricks of trading forex.

4.) Instant Execution of Your Orders
This is an absolute must! If execution isn't instant, as soon as you place your order, find a new broker.

5.) Do Your Research
Look online & check out forums for reviews of the broker you're thinking of trading with. Make sure that they have been around for a long time & that traders have had good experiences.

I actually ended up with Tradeview since I only had enough to open a mini account. I was really scared because I was just trading blind, I mean without S/R and then I became aware of the risk so since I applied them to my strategy, along to the fast execution and good feed I've been doing great.
