Check you local library for resources. I found Thomas Demark's book, The New Science of Technical Analysis, and it's FREE FREE FREE. Now, that's about all the value my library has for forex, but it's something. Also, look on ebay & half.com for deals on books. I bought Steve Nison's Candlestick Course on half.com for a pretty good price.
