Let's talk about MLB playoffs

Who are your favorites? Who do you think will go all the way?? My team didn't make the playoffs, so I actually don't really care.

I would rather see Boston make the World Series instead of the Yankees. Sorry yankee fans, but you guys have had your turn more then enough.

In the NL, Houston is on a good pace right now and Hot, and those damn atlants braves seems to get to the playoffs and falter every year. I beleive this to be the case this year also. Just don't believe they have the team to make it to the series.

Prediction.

Houston and Boston for the series.
It will go the distance with Boston winning.

Boston is one step closer. Not good blowing a 5 run lead but the walk off homer was awesome. Much like Furcal's last night. I'm hoping Boston gets to play the Spankees. It's time for redemption. I can't stand that team or its owner.

I can't stand that team because George tries to buy the championship every year. What is there, seven or eight nine figure players in the league now? George pays 4 of them. Over-rated. No sports team should be dishing out this amount of money. It's bullshit. I hope they lose. And I hope they get embarrassed losing as well.

I'm from NY as well. I don't particularly care for the Red Sox either. But they are the ones playing them, so go SOX.

I never said the Red Sox weren't trying to buy the championship. At 130 million, it would be a safe bet to say they are. Take the Astros for instance, they come in at roughly 65 million. The Braves, about 85. The Cardinals, roughly 75. And the now exited Dodgers, 94. All are about half the payroll of the Yanks and the Sox. It's sickening.

These figures were taken from dugoutdollars.blogspot.com and I'm not sure its completely accurate but it's close enough to get the picture.

I'd actually like to see the Astros win it but after yesterday I'm not so sure they can pull it off in Atlanta tonight.

They all pay players big bucks, and there is not one team that is build entirely off of their farm systems. The Expos, and Twins come pretty close, but both those teams have a good amount of player they signed as FA's from other teams. In reality, all teams are trying to buy a championship, but only a few can afford to spend over 150 Million. I'll tell you one thing though, the Yankees are still making money, so what they are doing is good business.

Well guys,

My predictions is going as plan right now. Boston came back from an 0-3 deficit to outlast the yankees to with the ALCS.

Now with Clemens schedule to pitch for the stros, that should finish off my prediction for both teams.

We'll know more after tomorrow night (thursday)

There will be a luncheon at Yankee Stadium today. The main dish will be Crow Stew, followed up with a little Humble pie. The cost of this luncheon is in the neighborhood of 184 million. :lol: :lol: :lol:

I said I hope they get embarrassed and boy did they ever. Up 3-0 and blow 4 straight. Yikes. George better buy some pitching. And maybe a Beltran or two. This year they had a collection of really good players but it seems when it counted they were unable to play as a team. Stay tuned and see who gets the bloody axe after this collapse.
