Why did he do that? Why?

So he called him a "terrorist" or something, so just ignore him!!

He shouldn't have acted like an animal, it doesn't make a good impression

Well it wasnt nice calling him a terrorist in my opinion it was the Italian who should have been given the red and zidane a yellow...unfair, but still he won the best player of the tournament

well..sometimes there is a limit to how a person can take a verbal abuse...Until Zidane speaks out what's going on all these remains speculation.. But yeah..He won the Golden Ball, so what...

It was the second or the third time Zidan did something like this to another player. But i think, that except of that, he is a great player, and we are going to miss him.

for some reason i admire great atheletes with a temper. They put up a way better show. take for exmaple Mike Tyson.

He has 14 sent-off records in his entire career, but that doesn't stop me from thinking of all those great moments from him..simply magic. And yes, i agree with threezero, athletes with temper has a better show albeit a short one.. And those great performances are what we are interested in..

Hes the best and no this didnt ruin his reputation it just made him more popular if anyone is gonna have their reputation come down its matterazi cos insulting a football legend is not the way to gain respect

Zidane didn't lose his reputation with this incident. He is lucky that he plays for a European country. Had this happened to a Latin American player, he would have been busted.

I really think Zidane should be banned from all kind of soccer events. It does not matter how popular you are or how severely you were abused verbally, NONE has the right to do what he did in the WC final.
The Italian player didn't simulate. It was a savage attack by Zidane.

He did the same thing when he was playing with Juventus and was banned for four games. He was also thrown out of a game in the '98 World Cup.

Soccer players do this all the time, they call each other names and whatever to try to make the other player angry. When it works, the other player reacts, the refferee sees him, and he gets a red or yellow card. This is professional football 101. It happens in every game. Zidane is as professional as they come, so he shouldn't have fallen into Materazzi's trap, specially in the WC Final. He should have known better. :nono:

Blah blah white sheep have you any zizou? He shouldnt have head butted Nazeratti, he should have just ignored him.

The best answer for a fool is silence.....I just wonder what he had in mind.
