Eforty no one will PM you because you have < 25 posts.
I can tell you if you use a bot like winholdem the poker sites can scan your services and see you running it. You need two computers (or laptops) , one runs the program that the poker client does not have access to. There are detailed instructions how to do this online.
If you are worried about them detecting your team I can tell you they look the other way. At Paradise myself and two others constantly sat down on the 5 player no hold em tables. We did it for months, nothing every happened.
At skybook they cheat outright and will even chat to that right in your face, nothing is ever done there either. I had the unfortunate experience of running into a crew there because I signed up for a 100% bonus and went to the tables when I should have kept it for the sportsbook.
This is not to say every casino is the same but for the most part they don't care as you are not cheating the house, only other players.

One other thing that is IMPORTANT, if you are using Windows then set up a separate user account with low privileges. Only then install the programs to that account and play from that account. If you install as an admin you are giving the Poker Site the KEYS to your box.

interesting, thanks....i've been trying to research for sometime and have assumed that most sites could care less if players collude as it really doesn't affect their profit, just their reputation for security. I know most sites will not allow multiple users from the same IP but thats not much of an issue.
When you say to give minimum privileges what all could/would a poker site do through the client software? monitor running processes? spyware or virii? more?
sorry for the unethical post if anyone is offended, thats why I was hoping to keep this private...but then again we are at talkgold.

It's not unethical because teams run all over the poker circuit. I usually play for fun with a buddy on the phone to try to even the odds.
There is a larger thread here about this down a couple pages or so, you have to search for it.
To answer your question they could monitor your services if you were an admin and if you were using a bot they could nail you easy. Also there are folks who say that some clients run a VNC which would record if you were using a messenger service to communicate with your team.
I doubt that but I suppose it is theoretically possible. They would also have to target you first due to suspicious behaviour and I am not sure how it would jibe with privacy laws.
The fact remains if you want to collude you can but just know it is a pain in the ass, boring and tedious. Plus you better have very strong players who intuitively know what to do or it can become a mess.
