Hey everyone... most of you know that I had alot of money invested in a managed account run by Ace Sports Network. Their sports handicapper called "Ace" Karalis was in charge of picks and placing the wagers for their clients.

This was great so then I didn't have to be by a computer all the time waiting for the picks to come in my email and then have to go to the sportsbook and place the wagers myself.

Well, on the 4th of Nov. Ace claims that while getting coffee at a local Starbucks Cafe, his car was burgularized and 2 duffle bags containing 260K was stolen.

He was on his way to the bank to send 10 wires of 25K to 10 offshore sportsbook. Supposedly he had cashed out his accounts at the local casinos in Las Vegas and was moving all the cash to offshore sportsbook.

He has signed an affadivit saying this is his story. The owner of the company, Ace Sports Network, is named John Lee. He claims to have been a victim in all of this, as all of the clients, and is seeking a lawyer to file embezzlement charges against 'Ace'.

Going to try and get the clients money back. I doubt this will ever happen, but if Ace did take the money then he should be prosecuted.

So now I am at lost for the money and now going to place all my wagers on my own using some picks of my own and others from now on.

I am not sure how long the website www.acesportsnetowrk.com is going to be up as John says he is going to take it down since they will no longer be in business anymore, but stay away from it.

It is a damn shame though. Ace was an excellent sports handicapper. Through the end of Oct he had net profits of 188.1% Aiming at getting 200% by the end of the year.

On an account of 10K, that's a 20K profit in 12 months. Not to bad for doing nothing all year.

Oh well, guess I will have to do that on my own now.

I told you some time ago that this is not real managed account but some kind of hyip .

Ace Sports Network was nothing like a HYIP. Just because I posted it on TG doesn't mean it was an HYIP.

It had to do with Sports Wagering. Ace Karalis was a very well known sports handicapper in the industry in Las Vegas. This has been verified through several independent sources and from other clients.

One client lost over 90K in this. You telling me someone is going to invest that kind of money without doing research first?

This doesn't even compare to HYIP.

For me managed account (forex ,betting or others ) means that you own the funds and someone only performs some kind of transactions ,in this case it was betting .

Ace sports network didn't managed client accounts in this way . You had to send them funds (not to betting company ).

That's my point.

ok, if you put it that way. but it still wouldn't be a hyip.

There are several different ways of being considered a managed account.

You think of it one way, as I think of it as another.

I am sure both would be considered managed accounts.

Yeah thump. Sorry man that really sucks. I probably would have gone to

thanks guys...

Supposedly, the company has found a way to pay back the difference from what our initial deposits were, and what was paid out.

A lawyer is suppose to be calling me to notify me that a claim form will be sent to my house. I am suppose to sign it releasing all liability against the company and that my check will serve as compensation to pay that claim.

I sign the paper, I get my money. end of story. Sounds to good to be true. So i'll wait and see if I hear from the lawyer or not.

I'll keep you updated.

If i get the money, it's going right back where it came from and will only fun my accounts with about 10% of what I had with Ace.

Just an update!!

Got an email from John today. He was Ace's partner and the one accusing Ace of embezzeling the funds.

We will be getting that claim form sometime today (wed) to sign and fax back to him. Once he receives it, he will send out our money.

Looking good so far.

I will be amazed if I do get my money back, so we shall see.

well guys, to this date, we are still waiting to hear something. We have been in contact with the lawyers at least once a week to hear what is going on.

Latest info is that the lawyers are having a meeting with the partners that hired them to go over how they are going to deal with this. We should hear something monday.

Apparently, 2 of the clients or partners of ASN doesn't want to go through litigation, so they are finding out ways to pay all clients back their money - minus loses.

I'll let you know when I hear something.
