WinningBets - gone?

Today I am surprised when realize that WinningBets, a yahoo group sports betting pool is already gone.
There is no such group of that name anymore.
Anybody knows what happen?

WinningBets was shutdown because of a complaint they say was made by a player who was only a member for three days. They started another group (WinningBets2005) immediately after, but this too was cncelled by Yahoo. Here is their latest message:

Apparently, it is not very difficult to shut down a yahoo group. In our case, Winningbets was shut down yesterday and Winningbets2005 was shut down today. Our email address at winningbets2005@yahoo.com is still open for now, but if shut down, we have all members' emails and will be able to communicate with you.

This is all started with one reckless fool gambling large amounts with no strategy, and then crying foul when we lost, and then going to Yahoo and finding a reason to delete our group. Of course, Yahoo will not say what the reason was, and if they don't reinstate our group by the end of tomorrow, we will announce alternate plans.

We will not let one coward shut us down, and this opportunity for members. Since we started, we have had far more wins than losses as documented in our daily group posts. Because this member joined and experienced 2.5 days of losses, he sees this as a reason to attack our group.

In the meantime, bets were place today, and will continue to be placed every day. the next set of bets are tomorrow (Friday)

The deadline for spends for the next set of bets is 2200 GMT Friday (or 1700 EST Friday).

All spends to e-gold 484982, minimum $25, increase in $5 intervals.

We are winningbets and would like to post an update here. Thank you to the previous post for posting our earlier message.

We had a 6 day winning streak last week, then had losses for about 2.5 days. Just at that time, some nut by the name of Lon Friedrichsen at fried@lfriedrichsen.com joined just when we had these few days of losses. He bet large amounts, and became irritated when we could not "deliver". He became increasingly hostile because he made bad money management decisions, and threatened a smear campaign against us, and to shut down our Yahoo group.

He was successful with Yahoo, but it doesn't take much to shut down a group. Yahoo shut us down, with no warning, no reason, and up to now refuses to give us a reason. They tell us to contact the owner of the group. What? We are the owners!

Our recommendation is to stay away from Friedrichsen. His IP is from Iowa, he is involved with Megabooster and has an e-gold # 1780592. If you know what's good for you, stay away from this snake, and don't do any business with him in the hyip or any other field.

We have continued our bets, are in contact with our group through a separate group email system, and all monies are safe. We will shortly announce the new format for our group and all will be finalized by Monday.

Also, thank you to the many group members who supported us and have given us suggestions.

They're still around. I've been with them for a while. Results are a bit streaky, but overall many more wins than losses, and they pay double for each win.
