The plays are going to be 1 or 2 units 2.5%/5% of bankroll. Assume every play is one unit unless otherwise stated.

I will be posting them approx one hour before game time (one of techniques I use is line movement). That would mean in general 6:30 ET for NBA.

Inversionist I use line movements as only one facet of determining a pick. I do not use a static system that I read from some ebook, I use all the tools that I have learned over the years.

Like trading, it is more art than science.

For line movements I always fade the public when I see a setup I like i.e. If I think two teams are evenly matched but the public is jumping all over one for some existential reason known only to them (The team is on a winning streak (but now they don't matchup well), Kobe Bryant is on that team, They like the team colors etc etc) and I can get 3 pts or so then over time my winning % will land in the 60s.

Yes , whenever you see a team that I post with OVER next to it then it means play the GAME over (not just the team but the entire game, two teams!).

For the Wyoming +7 it means TAKE THE POINTS. Always play the games ATS (against the spread). Same thing if you saw Wyoming -7, it would mean give the points (NO MONEY LINE EVER).

Never money line. Even though you would have won more on that game don't worry about it, there are many other games.

Nope the game was +4 and the 4 got chopped off (which is why someone had asked me if I had it on the money line cuz Loyola won straight up and we did not need the points).

Passing Tuesday 12/12... I was passing anyway but my PDA was acting up and could not post normal time...

If I don't have the play(s) up by 6:45 est , or 1 hour before games start on a weekend then I cannot get to a PC and it is a pass, also on some weekdays during the early games(s) if not posted one hour before time then it is a PASS although I will try to post in general by 6:45.


I expect to be able to post about 85% of the time that games are played (or higher).

Yes that line moved as much as I can remember. When I posted it most books had it at 141 - 140 and it went down to 135 1/2 by tip off.

One tool everyone should use is www.donbest.com and click on "free odds", if you go to the site right now you will see the game opening at 141 and moving all the way to 135 1/2.

You should open an account at all the books that donbest monitors that way you dont have to login to every book to line shop. If you don't open an account with all definitely go with betcris as they play all totals. Plus you should get an account an www.pinnaclesports.com.

Pinnacle also have the cheapest point prices to buy. Personally I buy two points from every game I bet and although I pay -140 it pays for itself at the end of the year.

I had a look at the pick but flagged it away as I couldn't find any reference to the Bradley Braves on Pinnacle, or on the ESPN schedule, so I put it down to it being some sort of local knowledge thing and wasted my money on backing a free tip from Donbest. Chris I agree with you, monitoring is a way for handicappers who sell picks to have a way to prove their crediblity. Instantly. Of course you need instant credibility because why would you send money to someone who claims to be a winner when we all know that so many losers occupy this space. Credibility is better than capital in the wagering arena.

Some gamblers argue that monitors are rigged however as there is a "middle man" involved.

Another way to prove credibility is to handicap, pick and post games in a forum or group before game time. There are nuances between both methods however both will generally suffice to show whether a handicapper is successful or not.

Northwestern was playing Northwestern State today and Northwestern won 85/59. The price would have been no help in picking up a typo as a/ Pinnacle don't list the game as being available for betting and there are no longer any prices to be viewed, and b/ using decimal odds, american odds don't mean anything to me.
