View Full Version : Soccer Odds
I'm fairly new when it comes to sports betting. But I'm finding that soccer odds are really nice to bet on. My bankroll's up ($60 up to $145) in 2 weeks since I began placing soccer bets. Games where moneyline Team A - 2.0 to 2.3, Team B 3.2 to 3.5, Tie 3.3 to 3.6 place $10 on "Team A". I don't know much about soccer, but about 70% "Team A" will win. I don't know if this is just amateur luck, but it seems to be workin very well.
Are there normally not very many upsets in soccer matches? Seems too easy :)

Such a low scoring and competitive game there are going to be 'upsets'. We see in the fa cup things like $100,000 teams beating $10,000,000 teams where their whole team makes as much a year as one of their players do a week so thigns are never sure

I know there are upsets, but so far, about 70-75% I've been winning bets. Hopefully it stays like that
I'll post my next pick darklol, I hopefully didn't just jinx myself :)

Hi BBob,
Yes, Home favourites do win. My Stats show since 14th March, 78% of matches winning. However, were you to level-bet every match to win you'd be down just over 24 points. (These Stats are based on Corals UK daily coupons and with variations apply to other high Street bookies)
Away favourites are currently returning a profit. Worth a look! Up around 10 points. i.e. Had you bet every Away favourite to win their match you'd be 10 points up on capital.
If you just want to bet on individual matches then you need to do some homework before you deplete your bankroll. I suggest http://www.1x2betting.co.uk. They have written some very good free articles on fixed-odds football. Particularly read about 'value' betting. Basically, no 'value' - no long-term profit!
For example, in the World Cup qualifing matches you could have bet England to beat Azerbaijan, but at odds of 33-1 on this was not good 'value'.
Good luck,
GOLDilocks ;-)
Thanks Goldi, stuff is very complicated :)
BTW, my last bet is for Saturday, should've looked at the dates closer...
Blackburn Win $10.5 - Total +$1.5, 2-2
Sunday - Norway Division 1 - Honefoss
Odd: 2.0
Bet: $10
and
Sunday - Denmark 1st Division - Koge
Odd: 2.0
Bet: $10
I've got 65% my bankroll on Diego Sanchez tonight, so I'm waiting until after the fight to place the above bets :)
