Is it considered good to have high ERA?

How do I know based on his ERA where a pitcher stands in the top 20 list, I mean if he is in the top 20 list or not.

ERA = Earned Runs Average

The more the ERA is low, the better it is. So if the ERA is higher, then it's not good.

Yeah, its Earned Runs Average;
you want to look for pitchers with low ERAs,
especially in their most recent starts.... whereas if
both teams have pitchers with very high relative ERAs,
you could plan the games' score to get up there possibly close
or into double digits total depending on the situation.
