Has anyone had any experience of this site/software? The results on their sparse homepage seem to be quite good (if they are real). If anyone has used or is intending to use them could you let us know of your experiences?
I have also seen their website and the results seem too good to be true, I am tempted to take the plunge though and see what it is all about.
Perhaps give them a call and speak to them about it, they provide a number.
Ahh! I can't believe I overlooked this before! Their figures are based on laying at SP. If you take the odds as 20% more to account for the exchanges, the whole thing falls apart completely.
No doubt, they will supply you with the system, and I expect that it would give you the results they have listed there, but when you take into account the exchange prices for laying, the "system" produces no profit. Any profit it does produce is quickly wiped out by a couple of losers.

Ive been looking at betwise too (started a thread at http://talkgold.com/forum/r64507-.html which has some alternatives listed)
Tomo, what do you mean by SP? Im still debating whether to go in for this or not.

SP is the starting price. i don't know who or how it is decided but it is ALWAYS lower than what you can get on betfair.
In plain english:
When backing horses on betfair, the returns are about 20% better than the SP from bookmakers.
However, we are talking about LAYING horses here. So we are the ones paying out 20 % more than the SP.
The prices quoted by betwise are the SPs. You can sometimes get your bets matched on Betfair if you lay at SP on the favourite, but the bets they have listed are all bets that certainly would be around 20% less.

I bought the Betwise system last month and I've been very impressed with it; they've got a work-around for betting on the exchanges so that the difference between exchange prices and SP is irrelevant to their results.
I would personally recommend it because I'm over £800 in profit since I started, and also because they were very helpful when I phoned them.

In my opinion yes, as I say I've only had it for about a month and so far so good. They've been helpful aswell, always reply to emails and answer the phone.

it just seems too good to be true. i mean for example if one used £100 stakes instead of £25 then would get about £8000 per month.

just like dailydonkey, the famous cheat laying horses site, they use prices (odds) that are not real (you can lay a horse at 4.80 odds... but when it losses, you will see calculated in the records at 2.70 odds ... a loss of only -170 USD).
at 700 layed horses per month, at these unrealistical lower than reality odds, they of course end up with huge virtual fake profits.

i'm wondering though if even with the fact they use SP if would still generate profit overall albeit not as large. i think i will test it out with betfair odds for a week and see what i get.

if it would be that simple, all bookmakers would change their odds immediately, based on that formula

i can't dig up much info at all on betwise on google. so its hard to say if it is legit or not. betty-boo perhaps you could enlighten us more on this technique to lower odds? also maybe you could post screenshots of your winning lays. cos when someone comes on claiming great profits its hard to know if they aren't just a shill (not saying you are but with so many about we cant tell)

a mathematical formula for choosing a horse to lay (bet against)
How's that possible then? What if the horse is off colour on the day or something? Presumeably they use its past form to calculate the chances of winning etc. I know nothing about horse racing though.
