I'm from Sydney Australia and the local winter sport here is Rugby League.
I came accross a bet that seems great value and wanted to share it around.
Basically the bet is that a team will make the "top 8" teams of a 15 team competition.
They have currently completed 3 rounds of a 26 round competetion.
The odds are fairly short but the chance of losing is also very very small.
The bet is for the North Queensland Cowboys to make the top8.
The odds are 1.12 when I last checked.
The catch is that the bet will take 6 months to play out.
The reason why I think the bet is certain to win is that this team has won their 1st 3 games. I looked back at the last 12 seasons and only 28 teams won their 1st 3 games. Of them, 27 finished in the top 8. Thats a 96.4% success rate.

This bet might not be have the super returns of some of the schemes listed here but I think this one has its merits.
If I could find and investment that paid a 12% return for 6 months with on 1 in 28 risk rate then I'd be taking it every time.
