we didn't bet yesterday, our last races were on the 28th and we had $100 to bet with and waslked away $42 down this time, it was our first loss in a month and our luck had to end at some stage, hopefully we will do better on the 8th of april, our next race day.

Yes we only bet on saturdays unless there are special racing events. and we average about 32% profit every race day, last month we had one loss of about 42%, this was our first loss and had to come sooner or later. but we average about 40% monthly profits.
also, we only ever charge commision fees if you win, so don't think ontop of a loss you are paying any fee. our service is free unless you win then the charge is 5%.

So in other words if I give you $100 I get about a 40% return minus the fees?

In theory yes, but this is gambling so profits are not gauranteed, our profit is from past performance and this is not an indication that we will always retain this profit, some weeks you may come out with a loss, other you may make a bigger profit than we average, my suggestion is if you were to bet $100 then spread it out over a few weeks kind of like the cliche "don't put all of your eggs in one basket.

Had an email from the admin at Global Punters - he says that his hosting company have blocked his site because it is a gambling site - he also says the betting for 22nd April would go ahead. No word from him since though! Don't think I'll be putting anymore into this - boy is he an amateur!

Our domain name was stolen by the company we registered with, the reason he claims is because they do not allow gambling sites, but i can't work this out, generally it is the hosting company that has this rule and not a domain registrar. Our site was getting about 1200 visitors a day and now he has those visitors pointing to an adsense website so it makes me wonder what his motives really were. Because of the fact he has taken our domains I can no longer receive email, and thus cannot gain access to our egold account because i am not receiving the pin sent to me because of an ip change.
I contacted egold and they are sending out mail to confirm the account is mine, as soon as i gain access back into the account i can begin to make refunds. anyone who deposited by e-gold will be given a full refund.
All i can say is this program looked like it was about to take off, i had just gained some real good exposure, and had a coder developing a more functional members area only for this to happen.
I tried running this program as effeciently and honestly as i could, and i never intended for this to happen, i hope all of our members can accept my apology for causing any inconvenience.
I have set up a temporary email address globalpunters@gmail.com and members can contact me there.
I am unsure whether i will restart this project again, it seems daunting starting from scratch and i feel after this incident customer loyalty will not be enough to support a new globalpunters site.
It defiantly was a learning experience but i did have alot of fun with it while it lasted. i am just sorry it couldn't last longer.

Well i searched his terms and services and am yet to find anything about no gambling related domains, see it usually is the host the applies these restrictions not a registrar. What i suspect is that he had seen how much traffic the site was generating and then pointed it to his adsense website which will generate him money for advertising.

you should always buy your domain from a reputable company like godaddy.com and then get the hosting seperately i have always done it this way and never had any problems.
