The internet "Gurus" Whats your take
lets be honest here there are loads of respected net marketers out there who really want to help people an then there are thos looking for a quick buck from wherever they can get it.
I want your opinions on the so called "Gurus" do you think its all about the money, I mean some charge rip off prices for their products which turn out useless, for example Joel Comm the so called adsense Guru his ebook is $97 adsense-secrets.com...is it worth it? NOOOOOOOOOO
did I waste my money on it He** no...I think hes a rip off and tries to squeeze as much cash as he can, whereas someone like Mike Filsaime
I think hes genuine butteflymarketing.com was an incredible success and those who bought it truly enjoyed tremendous success one guys site hit # 500 Alexa ranking after he used and applied what was on that manual.
Anyways enough with my rantings I just wanted some opinions, what do you guys think of them? Any good/bad experiences???

Re: The internet "Gurus" Whats your take
The gurus are gurus. Yeah, gurus of how to blow a lot of hot air! They're nothing but talented copy writers who know how to hype up a simplistic product...and convince you to spend your hard earned money on it. Trust me, I've talked to all of them, and they all say the same thing. If you know how to run ya mouth and convince someone to give up their cash for a digital file or two, then internet marketing is for you.

Oh, and I did read Joel Comm's ebook. It's nothing more than a how-to of Google Advertising and how to use it effectively. All you gotta do is blend your ads into your text using the same exact colors and backgrounds as your body text does...If you need any help understanding this, PM me or email me at lordsirrah@tmail.com

So far I really loved this response its very true this is what net marketing is all about, I cant help bring this up so is the internet the place for scams??? Internet marketing is like legitimate scamming LOL
transparent I dont like Mike Filsaime myself but I must say the truth his butterfly marketing package has created a numerous amount of success stories, but yeah in the end I wouldnt buy a word from any of them the only person I really respect as a marketer is Jeremy Gislason, I think hes straight out honest

Re: The internet "Gurus" Whats your take
Gary Halbert (a lot of his stuff is free at thegaryhalbertletter.com), John Carlton, Ted Nicholas (considered the "king of direct marketing"), Yanik Silver, John Reese (Internet marketing), Mark Joyner, Michael Fortin, and last but DEFINATELY not least, Dan Kennedy.
Those guys are for real. That's where I would start. Their stuff is most definately not fluff - especially Halbert, Carlton, Kennedy, and Fortin. Fortin actually wrote the original ad copy at this site and I think this modified version also: www.trafficsecrets.com
But a lot of those guys are heavyweights that are real salesmen, like at one point in time or another actually were in door to door sales - nitty gritty old school stuff.

Re: The internet "Gurus" Whats your take
Ya I think butterfly marketing is way too expensive for beginners but he doesn't
recommend it to beginners either. His content is targetted at people who are
somewhere there already, and these people would be people who would be able to afford BM easily.
And hmm, Joel Comm IS an adsense guru, whichever way u look at it, no?
He himself does earn a great income from adsense. If his ebook didn't work
out, that doesn't mean he's bogus. Donald Trump's books on real estate
hasn't really made that many millionaires, but can u argue that he's fake, with
his billions of dollars backing him up?

As long as they don't tell lies in their advertising, or post fake testimonials, then good luck to them. They have the ability to pad out "Find a good idea, then sell it on the internet" into a 40 page document that they sell for $37/$67/97 dollars. They are no different to the copywriters that bull$h1t on the backs of rubbish fiction books getting you to buy them, or the guys that put together the movie trailers making them look really good but turn out to be Matrix 3, or those guys that guarantee to enlarge your penis, but.... Wait, I've said too much.

Re: The internet "Gurus" Whats your take
I have read joels comm's ebook also.
What google never told you about making money with adsense.
97$ was not cheap. Actually it has some great information but you can find evrything in this book for free on forums. Forums are the best place to start for finding information. In fact i have learned more from the forums (this forum and other forums) than all the dozens of ebooks that i have read. The rich jerk for example if you start to make money online it can help you. But i don't have learned anything from this book.
I think everyone can make money on the internet but you have to work for it.
You can read thousands of books but if you don't work you wont get money.
That's my opinion.
I know that some members here have already received the state where their money works for them. I hope to join this club within five years.
However with stocks and bonds i make an average of 40$ profit in a day.
