Be WARNED - Fake admin/mods usernames to start scam programs
I hope this goes without having to say it, BUT.....
If you see any post advertising a program supposedly being run by any TG Adminor Super Mod here then do not believe it. Just another silly scam attempt.
Just report it, (bad post), and it`ll be taken care of.
Again, admins and Super Mods here are NOT starting up their own programs. Don`t lose your money by sending any form of payment to the scammers.

Is there any real difference between a TG mod starting up a scam and a TG mod cheerleading, defending, supporting and otherwise looking after, a scam on TG?

What he is meaning though as a moderator does his opinions and cheerleading influence others opinions because of their status. Ofcourse their is a difference as one owns the program, but moraly they border the same lines.
for example their are a few mods that post hundreds of program links in the hyip folder with the sole intent of gaining referral comissions. when a new members comes along and finds a moderator or members with a very high post count they assume this is a program advised by a reputable members, I mean if a talkgold mods telling us about it, it must be half decent... right?

In my opinion difference is not big.... Do not fell for something just because you think admin or a mod likes it... In adition we are not starting our own HYIPs... Just that simple...

good advice there mrGSH everyone should form their own opinion about any and every program, but often people who do not wish to do their own research will look for a mod supporting/participating in any program and then blame that mod when the program eventually fails.
Note to such people : all hyips will fail eventually, the idea is to ride them while they pay.
As for participating in a program why shouldnt a mod be able to so long as its within the rules of the forum?
To open up programs in someone elses name is about as low as you can get but it happens occasionally. All we can do is be vigilant.

If I was a known Ponzi lover, member, believer, defender, cheerleader and whatever else, nobody would have any right to expect you to accept it.
It is all about the balance of probabilities. That should tell you that anybody who believes and participates in Ponzi's is much more likely to run one than somebody who does not. A TG mod has the added advantage of being able to cosset his own programme ( the programme would, of course, not be in his name nor would he have any visible connection to it).
