I have recently been going through what has now become a long and drawn out process of setting up an off shore company in Belize and off shore bank account in IOM through WSR Corporation.
I went through their straight forward registration process, paid by credit card and then everything slowed down.
Although the apostille for the incorporation (and other) documents are put across as an additional/optional service during initial registration, they then become a required document to open the bank account. This may seem obvious to some people reading this but this is my first time setting up an offshore company so I was unaware and it seems ill informed.
The price of 90 Euros for the apostille on the initial registration (optional) has now gone up to 490 Euros for replacement documents with Apostille(Required), I have queried this with WSR Corporation as to why they did not state that they are required documents from the outset and have had no reply worth mentioning other than referring me to an order form.
Have any forum readers had personal experience of WSR Corporation or know whether this company is trustworthy? I am no longer confident with the service being provided by them but cannot find much info about the company anywhere.
When getting a corporation make sure you get it from somebody IN Country. Each country have legal firms and so on that do this. Getting a Belize corp, for example from somebody who is in the UK will cost more because they are trying to do this long distance.
Found this thread on WSR, so had to share my experiences with them.
Their sales team is fine, will reply immediately to all your mails and answers are quite satisfactory. After you pay them, is when the trouble starts.
Immediately after you make the payment, the sales team will disappear and ask you to speak to the order processing team directly and that they can do nothing to help. We spent a LOT of money for a license from them. Their order processing team takes no calls or emails and the only way to contact them is by putting in support tickets. Tickets are left un-answered for weeks and nobody bothers to do anything or inform the customers.
They will not let you visit their physical offices, since they do not entertain clients... or atleast not after you've paid... We even got some of their offices checked up and found that they don't even exist.
Another thing is that they've stopped accepting credit cards and are now taking wire transfers only. So they've got the money, but no way to for you to chargeback if they default on the order. The sales team will commit everything will get done in 2-3 weeks, but if you've just paid, don't hold your breadth. If it even happens, it could take a very very long time...
Whitherspoon Seymour & Robinson aka WSR are well know crooks -- they sell licenses for things that are either fake or illegal -- but they advertise more than almost anyone in the offshore business through Google and any other PPC service. Below is one of many complaints.
I've just completed the process of getting a Seychelles Ltd registered using WSR. On ordering their services they stated that it would take about two weeks to complete the registration.
Today Ive recieved my corporate e-kit (copies of memorandum and certificates) and it's now been 2 weeks and 1 day since my initial order.
I got worried reading this post about WSR, and other posts on the net, but must say they have delivered according to promises.
Very funny -- first post on Talkgold and it is singing the praises of known scammers WSR. If you did actually get your corp wait till you get the renewal notice -- $$$.
