Default Just spoke to Mervyn's Brother...

I just had a good talk with Russell. I decided to do a bit of a 'fill in' where I pretty much just made sure that he understood what was at stake here and that the site had been down for 2 months now and that DXBC payments had stopped in March. I let him know that millions of dollars were at stake here and that there are a lot of people baying for blood over this. I also dropped a few names and one of interest that he knew was our good old friend James Collard.

I also told him that I would try to discourage others from calling him. I get the feeling he is happy enough to deal with me but if it became a circus that he would stop answering the phone. So please refrain.

I don't have much to report other than he was told by Mervyn that the site would be up by last week and that "there's no reason for him to bs me". I asked him for more specific information from Mervyn as this has gone on for long enough. Russell asked for 2 days... I will call him again on Saturday.

Regards, Dave

Thanks Dave. It's refreshing to see someone willing to share information without feeling the need to act like a spoiled little girl.

Keep up the good work.

And this is the real deal ...flat out, raw info, that you can chew on and decide what it all means. Not some convoluted mumbo-jumbo that we've been having to put up with for years now.

Sounds like you being on the level with him, Dave, is really getting somewhere. What an odd concept in this particular 'business.'

I spoke to Bozo the Clown. He assured me that Merv is on the level and always tells the truth. I have no reason not to believe him.
...well...maybe one or two reasons.

Thanks GN and Eire... A little more from the conversation that you can take how you will.

Russell asked me if I was a merchant without me prompting him or mentioning merchants at all during any of our conversations.

He also asked me if I had made money from DXSynergy and when I said no, he was surprised... almost confused, like I was saying something that wasn't possible or fathomable. I then went on to say that my situation was not unique and that the majority of people are in a similar situation. I told him that we were talking millions of dollars tied up in the system and DXBC.

I also took time to try and convey the frustrations felt by the members who have not had any communication from GDT on practically any level. I told him that Merv was sending sporadic emails to a select few that have met him a year ago. He asked if the people that have met Mervyn were also upset or were happy with things. I told him that one of the biggest personalities to meet Mervyn is not happy at all (DB - sorry if I have miss-represented you here, I also know that the Guru was at his last wits when it came to GDT and he was very confused and disillusioned as to what he was told in Vanuatu and what was now occurring). I went on to say that some of the people who met him are trying to get their money back as owed to them via the DXBC and that they are rumoured to be looking onto legal options available to them.

I asked Russell to get more details for me rather than the company line of "everything is fine". It obviously is not and we have heard this same 'coming soon' line for 7 years now. He asked me for 2 days and I thanked him for his efforts. I told him that I was willing to represent the members and try to protect him from further harassment. So if you have questions you want asked just let me know... try to refrain from calling him as it might well mean a closed door to all of us.

When I was talking to him about James Collard and that he had no idea that he was listed as the administrative contact for Federal-Gold, we also talked a little about this and Russell said that he asked Mervyn to change the listing (or perhaps it was Mervyn that said he would change the details - my memory on the specifics of this part of the conversation is not 100% now). So, supposedly the ASIC details will be changed/updated soon also, removing Russell's address.

I think that covers most of the things that people might find interesting. I did a fair bit of talking about missed deadlines and promises and that Mervyn's word was not really worth much at this time thanks to his track record.

Regards, Dave

P.S. Oh yeah, I almost forgot... I decided to slip into the conversation after talking about his dubious track record on being able to deliver on his word and dates, that many people were worried him "doing a runner" and was he just stalling? Russell was very confident in his response that Mervyn wasn't running from anyone... he also added that Mervyn isn't scared of anyone.

Make of it what you will... I will have more on Saturday no doubt to talk about, so make sure you post any questions or statements you would like made to Russell/Mervyn.

Hi Dave,
Maybe you could ask him for a direct contact number for Merv. He might give you a disposable mobile number, if you assured him it won't be made public.

If Merv is not running and has no fear, he should be happy to have his addresses in Vanuatu and Oz. given out, along with other contact details.

I know the above sounds naive, but if everything is on the level, why would he object?

.
Eire.

I am happy to do things the way they are right now. Russell won't give out Merv's contact details without him giving the ok first but the current situation is probably better anyway. You see, there are already a handful of people that have contact details such as email and phone number of Mervyn but the problem is that Mervyn is very selective of which calls he takes and which emails he answers. At least this way, Mervyn is taking Russell's calls and thus I probably have better contact than anyone else at this time that I know of.

True, but I can also see why he wouldn't do that. I am above the level yet I don't want my details and phone number given out. The amount of harassment he would receive would quickly see an end to any communication. I also see my connection as getting more of a result than the direct route for reasons I wont go into now.

Regards, Dave

Great work Dave. I bet some at dx4afew hate you.

Have you asked Russell if he is involved in the system and what is his involvement. If not how does he know about merchants and making money?

As for the comment about Merv not scared of anyone, who is he trying to kid. He did not allow his picture to be shown, hides his address using other people's information and register his "business" on an island that loves scammers. I like Eire's comment about contact info, but don't see it happening. I think the great wizard(at his expense) should meet Bomber at and see if he can BS Dave who is more open minded than the others.

I like to know what bogus excuse for mewantem name and getting rid of dxshopping. Why federal gold and mewantem were only registered for one year with federal gold coming up next month?

One more thing jails all over the world are filled with people not scared of anyone. There is no competitive advantage of this time hiding his system. If some legit company with backing thinks it is worthwhile, dx will become a distant memory.

Why did Merv use his brother and James Collard addresses? Could he not afford to even rent a small office or pay someone a few dollars to use an address. This has small time all over it.

I understand about Merv not giving out his personal phone number and address even in Vanuatu. Actually, it would have been better for him to live farther away from Port Vila.
