Hillary Clinton, John McCain Win New Hampshire Primary

by FOXNews.com
Wednesday, January 9, 2008
Border

It was a night of comebacks in New Hampshire Tuesday, as Hillary Clinton and John McCain both resurrected their campaigns to come away with big wins in the first-in-the-nation presidential primary.

Clinton edged out rival Barack Obama by a few points even though the campaign itself had been girding for a second consecutive defeat earlier in the day. Clinton placed third in the Iowa caucuses Jan. 3.

With 95 percent of precincts reporting, the New York senator had 39 percent while Obama had 36 in New Hampshire. Former North Carolina Sen. John Edwards had 17 percent, New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson had 5 percent and Ohio Rep. Dennis Kucinich had 1 percent.

On the Republican side, McCain handily won, beating out rival Mitt Romney. FOX News declared the Arizona senator the winner with 13 percent of precincts reporting just 15 minutes after polls closed at 8 p.m. ET. With 95 percent of precincts reporting, returns showed McCain with 37 percent of the vote and Romney with 32 percent.

But the Democratic race was too close to call for hours, as Clinton held a narrow lead over Obama despite exit polls and pundits’ predictions that called this as Obama’s race.

“I come tonight with a very, very full heart,” an elated but measured Clinton told supporters after her victory was declared. ”I want especially to thank New Hampshire. Over the last week I listened to you and in the process I found my own voice … Now together let’s give America the kind of comeback that New Hampshire has just given me.”

The Democrats could put up a bag of potatoes and could probably win in 2008.

Cisco would probably be buggered with the horse flu though.

Personally, Im horrified at the thought of Spitfire screaming with Hillary on top

Never heard of that brand. When I said 4x, it was meant to stand for the forex currency market. Saxi used to have a blog on his forex trades and strategies.

I'm not sure whether the democrats will have as easy a time as once thought. When the dems swept into power in congress they promised immediate, dramatic change. That was over a year ago and still nothing has been accomplished. Public polls show the approval rating of the democratically controlled congress is far worse than Bush's ratings. Go figure!

As for Spit and Hillary. Spit hates Bush, so I'm sure he'd go for Hillary. In fact, I'm sure Spit would go for any woman, regardless. But yes, I agree, Hillary on top would certainly scare me. She could hurt a fella on top!

Ive found a few other things now that are turning a profit for me now though, so Im quite pleased.

I decided to take the blog down for a while. Im just too damned lazy to get the thing up to date! Maybe Ill put it up again one day.

I don't get to trade much anymore. I've got some family obligations that keep me tied up most of the time. I don't like to trade if I can't have time to properly concentrate.

Hilary do not care for the American people. She only about her concerns to be in power.

The person I am more leaning to is Ron Paul. Yes, I am a Democrat, but Ron Paul makes more sense, and seems to want to help the people of this country more than any of the candidates running.
