How would you approach a potential TE member in 10 seconds?
I'm sure it comes as no surprise that the average attention span of an Internet user is only a few seconds since, after all, you can take yourself as an example. If you are not interested in something right away, you will leave and never look back in most cases, given the fact that more than a few great websites are only a click away.
Under such circumstances, this thread will be fun as well as practical since, as a person interested in promoting TE, you will only have a few seconds at your disposal in order to capture the attention of your visitors.
Let's get started, shall we? How would you approach a potential TE member in 10 seconds?
A tip to get things started: the opening paragraph
You can have a catchy title which makes people click but, in the end, everything will prove to be in vain if you fail to deliver. The opening paragraph will make or break your article or review, not paying special attention to it is a mistake you cannot afford to make.
Be objective, ask for opinions. What do your family members and friends think about it? If they didn't know you wrote the article, would they continue reading after the first paragraph or simply leave?
Remember: tell them what you're going to tell them / tell them / tell them what you've just told them. Most importantly, do it in a way which makes them want to read on (starting with the opening paragraph) and, of course, in a way which encourages them to take action after reading the article / review in question.

Tip#2 - Business Cards
A professional business card (simply having one for the sake of it isn't going to be enough) automatically helps you take things to the next level as far as credibility is concerned. Offering a business card only takes a few seconds but, if you do your job right, the person in question might just keep it and get back to you at a later point.

I look forward to seeing various examples here, by people much more qualified than myself. Original post told us how to write a quick ad. Maybe we can get some examples using that approach also.
In any business it pays to have a quick, 10-15 second response to "What do you do?" It can be used anywhere you have a quick contact with someone.
It is not hard to get to the topic of what do you do in a conversation.
Ask them first and they will generally ask you. If not, you can tell them anyway, after they have responded what they do. You can gear your response to them by what they do.
(example if you meet a teacher.)
"Really. A teacher. Teachers seem to do really well in my business."
Some quick examples for teamearners.com include:
"What I do is, show people how to make money on the internet. Do you know anyone that may be interested in making extra money from their home? (Hand them 2 cards.)
"What I do is, show people how to be a successful internet marketer. Do you know anyone that may be interested in making money with their computer? " (Hand them 2 cards.)
"What I do is, help people become financially independent. Do you know anyone that is looking to get out of the rat race?" (Hand them 2 cards.)
"What I do is, teach people how to run a successful internet business. Do you know anyone that may be interested in making a living from their home?" (Hand them 2 cards.)
Use your own words and style. key is to be prepared with a few snap responses, as you often have only seconds to catch their attention.

The first tip was related to the opening paragraph and, basically, you have to "tell them what you're going to tell them" in a way which "sells" your product and makes them want to read further. It all boils down to convincing visitors that reading the entire article is time well spent on their part and, when it comes to "telling them what you've just told them" (the final paragraph), be sure to include a call to action.

Tip#3 - A Catchy Domain Name
Sure, you could register a domain name similar to "companyxreview dot com" but, if you are interested in leaving an impression or, in other words, if you want the people who came across your website or who have heard about it from you to remember it, being creative is definitely a must.
A lot of times, a person who has heard about your website may be interested in looking into it a little bit later, only to realize that he or she has forgotten the URL. If the scenario doesn't exactly sound all that tempting, approaching the market with a catchy domain name is the way to go.

Tip #4 - An Original Banner
If you are interested in purchasing ad spots on another website, it's obvious why selecting the right banner is simply a must. Since you will be "competing" with other ads, it's only natural that you try your best in order to pick the one which will convince visitors to click.
Market research should not be eliminated from the equation. Analyze the audience you are targeting and, based on what you come up with, have a banner designed which does a great job of explaining how the product or website you are promoting caters to their needs and, of course, standing out is definitely a must.

Tip #5 - Gifts
Encourage the people who visit your website to subscribe to your mailing list by offering them a gift. That way, even if they leave your website, you will still be able to communicate through your newsletter. Treat them with respect, offer useful information and they will definitely give your offer as far as TE is concerned some serious thought.

Tip #6 - A Catchy Tagline
Aside from your domain name, a catchy tagline can also represent something thanks to which people remember your website. Try to see things from the perspective of a visitor. What are his or her needs? What does he or she expect from TeamEarners?
Based on what you come up with, I'm convinced that you will be able to think of a great tagline, one which is catchy yet also helps visitors understand that you relate to them. A tagline is definitely one of the little things which can and will make a difference down the road.

Tip #7 - Attractive PPC Ads
If you are interested in promoting TE via AdWords, having ads with a high CTR will end up helping you pay less for each click. You need to understand that other ads as well as organic listings will be competing for each click, so that simply writing an ad for the sake of it isn't going to cut it.
Put yourself in the position of a potential visitor. "If I were to see all of these ads, would I click on mine?". Try to be as objective as possible since, in the end, the answer to this question represents one of the things which can make or break your PPC campaign.
