Microsoft to Pay people for searching with them

In order to compete with Google, Microsoft will begin offering incentives for people to use their search engine in the way of cash back on any purchases made from clicks on ads at their search engine. They may also pay per search as well.

A few other search engines are doing the same thing to, I guess they're trying to get people to use their search engine more

Yeah should be interesting. The one thing Microsoft has to their advantage over those other search engines is the fact that they already have 9% of all searches worldwide.

Personally I don't think it is. Basically they are saying, "Google has a better product, commanding most of the users, so we are going to pay you to use our product instead." If Microsoft would come up with a search equal or better to Google's in terms of results, then they would get the userbase for free.
