Few Questions about Stock Split mechanics
1) Using "htt p://biz.ya hoo.c om/c/s.ht ml" (take out spaces, or google 'yahoo finance stock splits') as a reference, is there a certain deadline I would have to buy a stock to be eligible for the stock split?
2) I see on Google Finance a lot of companies that have done 2:1 splits. But according to Google, the stock price is *never* 1/2 of what it was before the split. The stock price has always stayed the same during the split. Why is this?
