The affiliate marketing graveyard is littered with people who have tried but failed, or are still trying to make a success of their affiliate business. And this is not because they can't do it or that they don't have the required knowledge to do it but most times it is because they are not putting their knowledge into action consistently each day.

Moving forward with your affiliate marketing business can really be broken down into two things:

Education - Knowing what to do to make your business a success

Application - Applying that knowledge into actual practice in order to get results

With only one or the other you are destined for failure, but if you combine the two here you will most definitely start to see real results from your efforts and the learning curve to more advanced methods will be easier. So here are my three tips for making your affiliate marketing business a success:

1. Find a proven system - This may take a little investment of either time or money to find, but finding a proven successful system that has worked for people previously will be your first step to actually having something to work with, randomly advertising every product out there will only lead you down a path of frustration. Find a system that has worked and that you can follow whilst you learn.

2. Take action every day - Each and every single day you should devote at least one hour or more on your affiliate marketing business, and I do not mean sitting at your computer reading, what I mean is actively participating in income producing activities. You need to get into positive cashflow, so make the effort to use your chosen system and focus completely on that without being distracted.

3. Track everything - Action is a waste of time if you do not know if the action you are taking is the right action, finding a system is important, but if that system is not a good fit for you in your schedule then you will be right back where you started, by tracking your time and results you will soon start to see what is working and what isn't, at which point you can do more of what is working and stop doing the things that are wasting your time.

Affiliate marketing can be as simple or as difficult as you make it, I know it may seem a mountain to climb in the beginning but the more action you take in the right direction, the easier it will seem to learn as you progress. Following these three steps consistently will have you wondering how you ever struggled to make profits.
