Re: profit favourites
I do have the system. It is no longer for sale. I have been paper trading it and it does seem to be holding up, and the advertised success numbers seem accurate as well (win 50% of your bets, at average odds of 2.4 to 1).
The concept of the system is very simple, you document every race at every track on a spreadsheet, just documenting whether the favorite won or lost, and watch for when the Favorite loses 4 times in a row, then you go ahead and bet on the favorite in the next race. The system uses flat betting, although I am sure you could adapt a Money management progression to the system. There is a little bit more to it than that, but that is the core concept.
The author seems to define the favorite as the horse that is the final odds favorite at post-time, but this can be hard to determine, as sometimes the 'favorite', based on the odds alone, is constantly changing, as the odds can fluctuate wildly right before race time, and here in the US, we use tote-based racing, and the final odds are not posted until after the horses have gone off, so you may think you were betting on the favorite, only to find out after horse jump, that another horse was the real favorite. I cannot find any contact info for the author, to ask him about this (I bought the system through an affiliate).
So one idea I had was to use the Morning Line favorite as the 'official' favorite, regardless of whichever horse ended up being the 'odds favorite' for the race. The system seems to still hold up even when using this as the determinant.
