Some Austrian banks do offer numbered accounts.
The only difference with numbered accounts is that only the management knows your identity, not everyone in the bank. How is that going to help anything, that's only good for an account used to sock away savings for super-long term.

It will help if you are ONLY RECEIVING wires since you can use a fake name instead of your personal name.
For outgoing wires , your personal name will be disclosed.

Numbered account is nowdays usually completly useless feature and it means only that not everybody in bank´s staff knows who you are
Anon wires are not possible at least in switzerland
Btw swissquote offers numbered account CHF 180 per year. Sadly it does not work like Poverello thinks

Like I said , when you ONLY RECEIVE money in your numbered account, you use another name than your personal name in the wiring instructions.
On the receiving level your name is not disclosed , this part is anonymous (the person who wires money to your numbered account doesn't know your true identity)BUT the bank knows of course your true identity (not like the good old days where the bank didn´t knew your true identity)
BUT if you wire money out, your personal name will be disclosed, you cannot use another name.
I suggest you open such an account yourself to see how it works instead of thinking too much
