Hi Folks,

I would like to introduce myself as trader in forex (spot currency trading, particularly GBPUSD, EuroUsd, AudJpy, GbpJpy pairs). Overall, I am satisfied with journey this far.


Myself and one of my friend, will open forex brokerage firm particularly targeted towards Indian Forex Traders.
Our competitors are Reliance Money(middleman) and Alpari (US company) and of course outside forex firms.

In 2006, daily retail trading volume from Indian clients was $250 million.
In the year 2009, this value is $1.2 billion. Our objective is to tap this market and grow bigger and financially stable before our competitors sight it as a "sector" or opportunity.

Our strategic edges are -
1) 1.4 pips to 1.9 pips spread on EuroUsd IN ALL MARKET CONDITIONS. Similar competitive spreads in other currency pairs as well (possible because of a combination of liquidity providers for various market conditions).
2) All brokers charge $20-$30 fees for deposits. We will charge either $5 or charge nothing.
3) Direct cash deposit/cheque deposit. No bank wire or lengthy,inconvenient procedure!
4) No Requotes.

Expenses would be $38,500 (initial) + $27,500 (first 18 months marketing and sales)
Also, $7,000 would be monthly expenses towards technical support, hosting of servers, employees payment, office space, bills etc.
Totaling to $150,000 for first 18 months of our business.

Profit potentials with consideration of lesser than average performance are -
First 6 months - $0
7th to 9th month - $10,000
9th to 12th month - $15,000
13th month onwards - $10,000 monthly + $300,000 semiannually.

Myself and my friend have raised $30,000 collectively for this venture. We require $120,000 further for this venture.
Please see that, we are looking for only those who can join our team and can bring financial and/or strategic advantage to our team.

We don't want more than 7 partners in total (I hope that's good enough number of partners for a firm of this size). Also, all the partners will be automatically board members and hence, all decisions will be make by collective mutual agreement and total transparency. Unfortunately yes, there will be a single place where the office would be and will be decided collectively by the partners.

Hello, you should comment only when you know exact proposition. Moreover, it's not right on your part to interpret what will be it's model without sufficient knowledge for the same.

Don't judge me. I've been in this industry for a long long time. I am telling you, the status of what you have written has a clear intent to open a retail bucketshop. If thats not the case, and you are actually naive to the fact that what you offer does not cover costs. Then thats your problem, and you deserve being lashed with such a bad business plan.

Further more, it appears that what you are looking to do is RENT the data server and platform, which means you need to increase the cost of the company itself. Add extra for IT management incase of crisis as well as administration. Lisencing, legal fees, company opening fees, any regulation fees that are required. You also will realise that the capital you intend to start with is NOT enough for reserve capital. 1 profitable trader with a real account size will wipe you out.

Adding to that, I would not trust you with the amount that IS required to open a brokerage, even if it is a bucketshop, purely because your username is BossofHYIP.

What I can say is you are completely misunderstanding everything.
I said you don't know "proposition" and "model" of this firm.
That was quite correct. You may have a great understanding of market, but unless I make it clear, how can you have a knowledge of the exact proposition in this firm to its stake holder and also the model with which it will operate.

Thats not spot on as well.
Yes, it will be "market maker" and 30% to 70% of the orders will be hedged by the firm. However, as long as execution conditions are competitive, it doesn't have any problem, either to us or to the clients.

Business plan?
What I have posted is not even 1/10th of the executive summary of the business plan. I have a 46 pages business plan addressing all important components of the business.

Again, not quite correct. It will cost a total of $25k upfront and $2.5k monthly. One time purchase would cost $100k upfront. The firm will have a positive cash flow by Q5. So you can tell yourself whats costly to cut the edges to meet the tight budget.

In India, a competitive operation staff could be hired at no more than $400 monthly. Legal and accounting work will be done by my friends, who are competent enough (everything is verifiable and at the disposition of the partners).

Next quarters operational expenses would be maintained in liquidity providers account.
We aren't going to hedge all the traders. Purely based on experience of the trader and how many losing traits they possess.
So both the issues addressed.
