Default Link Building tips..
Right although im no seo expert i can share a few tips for getting decent links and would appreciate input from others how they get their links:

1.Social bookmarking

Is fair simple and can provide a fair bit of traffic and sometimes the odd link from peoples blogs if they like your content.

2.Article Submissions

I think by far the most productive method, however only if your article is of use, just stick a link in the author section and if people use your article on there site/bog, mission accomplished.

3. Directory Submission

Dull, boring repetitive, but can be rewarding in getting back links. Also if you tend to do a lot of these i would strongly recommended roboform pro, click of a button and it will fill the form in

If anyone has anymore good ideas state them here for everyone to benefit from.

Good but very old information. Hmmm.. Today, additional to that. Start learning making videos for your articles and Instructions of HOW TO's and simply upload it to all of those tube sites with same keywords. And that's gonna make you thousands of clicks FREE! Ask friends to support you and comment on your videos to make it more popular real quickly. And that's an assurance.

I think the most efficient link building method is by submitting articles to major and popular article diectories together with a link to your website on the author's biography.Participating in forums and posting on blogs are also important to generate traffic to your site.

Agreed, but we should also keep in mind how to anchor our sites and links with the right keyword and money words. Or else search engines might just penalize your site.

So long as the forum posts are relevant to the community. Far too many forums are fed up with the excess of poor relevant posts to the site content. Then again even the non-seo posts can be irrelevant.

Do-follow blogs are hard to find, many of the strong ranked blogs have their comments blocked. There are so many wordpress blog pages setup that are just auto-posters also, which makes it more difficult to find a good quality blog to post on. Any suggestions to finding relevant blogs easily that will allow comments?

It seems building back links for getting PR value leaked to your site is getting harder. As said most blogs seems to be no-follow and I could be wrong but I think profile links are going that way too.

If you try to provide decent content you will get targeted visitors that way regardless of whether the link gives you juice and pushes you up in the SERPs.

Like someone said above you can make videos. Quality articles still work, you can use Scibd etc. Don't forget the power of Facebook and Twitter to find targeted traffic.
