Macafee problem
Hello! My antivirus McAfee is blocking many sites! The problem is that these sites are absolutely safe but my new antivirus is blocking them. Can you please tell me about MacAfee - why is it blocking them? Is that something wrong with it?

I've been using McAfee for a year or so and I finally ended up getting a refund for it. It's a terrible antivirus (that's my personal opinion). That is why I am no longer paying a penny for all those so called antivirus programs. Just get the free ones, you will find plenty.

Re: Macafee problem
I don't recall ever having any site I've visited blocked by McAfee, but perhaps it's the setting I'm using.
Why not check your settings to ensure they aren't blocking what you don't want them to.
As for free and paid, I know a lot of people are perfectly satisfied with their free versions of antivirus etc, and have never had problems.
My own view is you get what you pay for, and if you don't pay a penny for it well you don't get a lot either in the way of protection.
I'd rather pay £40 a year to be as safe as possible, it isn't worth the risk.

There's over a million of people who use Avast/AVG Free Edition and I doubt they are experiencing issues.

I agree, it's just a personal thing. I'd rather not take the chance just to save a small amount of money.

Re: Macafee problem
I am totally satisfied with McAfee, no really it is good antivirus, but I see that I am not the only one who faced this problem. Yes, I agree that it would be better to change my antivirus. Anyway, it is still quite interesting for me - why it is blocking sites..(I've checked my settings and have not found something to help me out)
