I've heard of people having to take out payday loans to pay their previous one. It's a vicious cycle.
It's true. I was in that trap myself some years back. It was awful to get out of. A payday loan is only useful if you KNOW you're going to pay the entire thing back the very next payday.

Legitimate :: Simple :: No Selling :: It really works!
The problem with payday loans is that they're easy to abuse, easy to target politically, ridiculously profitable, and because many americans don't quite have the financial education to use them effectively and safely. It's a volatile combination, but not one that is based in flaws in payday lending in itself.
I'm curious if anyone has invested money with a payday loan company? I've heard of a couple that are paying ridiculous returns on money invested (4-8% per month), but I don't know if I trust it or not and if those returns are sustainable. Seems like an easy industry for scammers to target unsuspecting investors. I know payday loan co's are making money, but I can't imagine they're that profitable with all the non-performing loans they give out.
