Hi, just getting the general consensus to see how people trade...

What average profit/loss percentage do you get everyday you trade?
How many pips total and how many pips you earn each trade?
What trading platform do you trade on?

in case anybody wants to know... i make 0.43 to 4.58% daily
~40pip movement on Oanda

U can win or lose everyday. U can lose many pips everyday if u don't have experience in trading. There are many good brokers like Marketiva,Oanda,Interbankfx,etc.I am trading with Marketiva now. Practice demo first to gain experience and proper trading skills before jump into live account.

I know about marketiva, but I can't join due to the fact that I'm a US citizen.

Professionals can double their money on one trade. Depends on market momentum, this could be in one day or over a few days.

The secret is in cutting losses quickly and letting the profits run... (overused cliche).

For beginners, it is a dangerous place. Because 1. you are geared. 2. The market can move very quickly against you.

Agree with phildunn that you should use a trial first to get a hang of the market.

I average around 42 pips per day. I use a lot of automated experts that I have written to do all the hard work for me. Take a look at www.sharewiz.net to see how an MQ4 expert for MetaQuotes can take a small figure like $2000 all the way to $1 Million.

Daily is not a good indicator - yearly is much better as it shows whether a trader has a good feel for the market - I have increased my NAV some days by 5% and others by 0% - some days I don't trade at all and go for a tour on my Harley - depends on how I feel.
