HYIPs are bad investments, they are nearly - if not all - scams.
But you didn't ask how to invest, you asked how to make money. Which can include investing.
And that depends on a lot - what goals do you have, where are you located, how old are you, what skills do you have; do you want to invest - if so, how much money do you have to start with, how long do you have to invest, what kind of return are you looking for, etc.
There are a lot of variables that effect the answer to your question.
I recommend you dig around this thread, and read a lot. There is a good thread about becoming a millionaire, and there are various other threads about other kinds of investing.
