i received a cheque from stormpay just before my account has been suspended. Now, should or shouldn't i cash/deposit the cheque? i'm afraid if the cheque has been cancelled by them (stormpay), and i'll be charged by my bank for cashing a voided cheque!.... it is about due date ... I have spoke to some buds who received a check as well...
They talked to the bank about the situation & had the bank confirm that the check was good before depositing/cashing it.
So my advice is talk to the bank & explain your concern...
ok just wanna let everybody know that my bank has accepted the Stormpay cheque... ... they said that if the cheque is void ( i.e, if Stormpay has cancelled the cheque after they suspended my account ), then the money will be reversed after 7 days, but until now nothing happens, so i guess it worked out... i deposited the cheque just right on its final day before it voids ( on 60th day )
Its important to note that if anyone recieved a check from stormpay after January 31st. coming from ANY of the hundreds of merchant accounts which stormpay froze, especially 12 Daily Pro, that check would be hard copy evidence in my opinion of a violation of Title III of the Patriot Act, a federal crime.
In my opinion Cash the check, but make a copy of that check for your files in case you decide later to submit that evidence as proof positive that stormpay continued doing business with those business's after stormpay stated those business's were illegal.

Contrytec, I've read you messages for a while. You are not extremely bright.
Stormpay IS indeed in violation of Title III Section 373(b)(1)(A). If they have issued ANY checks after April 15th.
Title III Section 373(b)(1)(B) - in which it clearly states that if Stormpay is in violation of the transmitting business registration requirements under section 5330 of title 31, United States Code, which they are in violation of, and finally,
Title III Section 373(b)(1)(C). - Which states that any money transfer which was derived from illegal activity constitutes a federal crime. So IF 12Daily is illegal, then transferring money derived from 12DP is federal crime. Stormpay claimed it was illegal, yet still issued checks.
The true story is this: 12Daily wanted to take out money that Stormpay spent on other things. Stormpay knew that all they had to do is deny withdrawal and refer 12Daily to authorities. They know first hand what authorities do to Ponzies (TymGlobal, BeaverPay - All on the resume of Stormpay's CEO).

Indeed OutsidLookingIn, we have what appears in writing, in emails, and in newspapers, stormpay themselves stating scores of its agent merchants are involved in illegal activitys, and after what appears to be that fact, continued to issue checks which in my opinion constitutes a record of continued business activity.
Also in the Patriot Act Title III, is the section regarding black market currency exchange. Where companys exchange foreign currencys for American dollars above or below the current US Banking and That Countrys exchange rate for that specific date. Black market currency companys can undercut the current exchange rate by a sizeable margin because of their low overhead and very little paperwork involved. However afew dollars per exchange into the pocket of the blackmarket currency company adds up when its multipled by thousands of exchanges.
On a 'hunch', I found a UK stormpay victim that stated that stormpay themselves exchanged his British Pounds (GBP) for American Dollars (USD). So I asked them to post me the exact date and the exact amount of both British Pounds (GBP) and what American Dollars and cents (USD) that stormpay allegedly gave them. I went to the US Banking exchange site which has the 'official' exchange rate for each given day AND guess what, stormpay appeared to have made acouple dollars on his exchange. NO way could the OFFICIAL CURRENCY EXCHANGE of GBP to USD that day equal what they recieved. That appears to be black market currency exchange and although stormpay appears to have illegally made acouple dollars off that stormpay victim, multiply that by thousands of UK stormpay members and that number likely becomes far larger.
I asked that UK stormpay victim to report this to the British Authorities and to the FBI themselves. I also filed a report to a governmental agency on that personally and also spoke to the Tennessee State Department regarding that.
I do not know if that UK stormpay victim followed thru or not. It would be helpful however if any additional UK stormpay victim stepped forward with a similar exchange and wishes to learn if that was at the official exchange rate or not.
