I am currently trying out Yahoo Small Business site hosting, but it is not free.

hmmm free hosting with an actuall domain ? or do you have to use some domain name that they give you? found a site called Yola that host for free but you have to use their .yola.com domain unless you pay something.
Also their software is a bit frustrating at first.

It's nice information..I got the web hosting here http://www.tucktail.com/ It provides hosting,domain name register, domain appraisal, online file folder, ssl certificate etc...

I personally never tried a paid web hosting, but I heard of Yahoo Small Business.

there are two type of web hosting .
1. shared hosting
2. vps hosting

vps hosting is always better web hosting. and among vps hosting ultra hosting has good ranking.

I'd love to find some good free hosting, so please could someone put up a list of good free hosting sites. I think that the hosting depends on what you want it for. if you know you're going to have lots of traffic then the more space you'll need, but virtual servers etc are expensive man.

I guess one could expect the quality of the service to be very limiting if its free.

I've been using http://hosting.fishpunt.com for about 10 yrs, never had a problem yet. I've heard some great reviews about http://hostgator.com also. The one thing to look for in web hosting companies though is 24/7 support, secure servers and easy setups.
