Do Facebook (blog) Links Count As Backlinks?

Would all of my blog links posted in my facebook page or another's page be counted as backlinks? If so, since FB has a PR of 10, would that make those backlinks high PR, bumping my blog up in line?

Although Facebook has an incredibly strong PR score but the pages of users and webmasters are going to be treated separately and in an individual way. It's like saying that WordPress homepage is very popular and has high PR but there are tens of thousands of low PageRank blogs derived from that. About the links discussed, if they are easy to access by search engines and are not blocked by codes, they can be backlinks.

Facebook usually may not seem that hot from link building aspects because most big businesses are using their FB pages to get in touch with their global customers and delivering messages to them in a quick way. It can be stated that a great FB page would increase traffic shares of websites online decently but may not lead to many one way backlinks though.

Page Rank is called Page Rank for a reason, each page has it's own ranking, if the page you're posting the link on is not already reputable it's highly likely you're giving yourself backlinks on a page with little to no value. I'd suggest either finding a service and paying for it or installing seo quake browser plugin, searching up your own keywords with post-able pages and placing your link on them in a smart manner.

Links from facebook are nofollow but it doesn't mean it will not help for your optimization. First of all, facebook is really very helpful for promotional purposes. It can boost traffic to your site. in google webmaster yes it shows but it does not pass he page rank as it has no follow attribute to it..!

A tip: If you can see it in the Google Webmaster tool, it may count.

Facebook links are not like ordinary do-follow links that counts for PR, but there are benefits from them. The same with Twitter.
