A couple of years ago I used Youtube with success by posting videos with my URLs on.
I think I earned around ~$250/day back then, sometimes more and sometimes less.
Too bad it all changed when Google bought it. My newly uploaded videos didn't rank as good anymore and they started to ban my accounts.
However, I know there's still big money to be made in this way, you just need to change your game a bit.

YouTube is an excellent way of driving traffic to your site. If you can get a video to go viral I highly recommend applying for their partnership program. It puts ads on your video and links it to your adsense account then you earn exactly the same way as you do with adsense on your site or blog
