What exactly is Internet or Online marketing?

I am assuming I am posting in the right place. Someone recently told me to branch out into internet marketing. I really didn't know what he meant. Can anyone explain it to me?

The topic interested me. I am interested in the earning portion of it. I assume it would setting up a site and finding something to market to begin with. Then I would assume you would profit from the traffic to said site.

It is just you. I am new to all of this. All I know of internet money making are GPTs and Hyips. I am looking to educate myself on better opportunities.

Hi, AvalonX! Yep, in most cases internet marketing assumes that you create a website and offer some product on it or monetize your site with ads. An alternative would be to create a product of your own and sell it, so here yo may even not need a website.

For me internet marketing is much more appealing that HYIPs ( that's why i chose that), because it is already your business and you have control of it.

As for money making - do not expect to start making money fast ( however this also can happen), it just depends on how fast you are learning and how much money you have to invest in it. Yep, prepare yourself to spend some money on education and things like domains, hosting etc.
