What is Paid Sticky?

Someone please enlighten me to what Paid Sticky means? Is that just saying that as an investor you received some money that was flipped in an HYIP?

No. It has nothing to do with HYIPs, it is a forum term.

A paid sticky is when a member pays for an advertising thread and we "stick" (pin) the thread at the top of the forum so it will remain at the top (and seen) even if there aren't any recent posts.

Strange comment and I'm sure it wasn't meant to be as offensive as it sounds.

Talkgold doesn't have many "paid stickies", they are mainly in the current HYIP folder and the ecurrency folder.

A forum such as Talkgold, which has a large membership, is a lucrative advertising medium.

Consider a national newpaper for a moment. An advertisement on the front page will be seen by most readers whereas a small classified ad near the back page will not. The cost of a front page ad is naturally more expensive than a small ad at the back.

It isn't a case of "everybodys got a price". Talkgold is free to use because of advertising revenue, how else do you think it is paid for?

Not meant to be offensive or snarky but reading it now it comes off that way. Ive been here just a couple of days and the moderators have been very informative and not only that there is a lot of supporting information out there on the web that cites Gold Talk as very reliable information.
...."Good to know" like when one realizes the first few results in a google query are paid advertisments and therefore biased information. Nada mas.
