I have a chance to invest $40,000 and am totally without a clue where to start. I would to get a return of about $1,000 a month income with little or no risks. Am I asking to much? I dont want to trade, buy or sell. I thought about CD's but that won't cut it. I don't know if I'm being realistic or not, but any advice would be helpful. I just want to say (Here; rent my money!). Thanks for any replies to get me started.
It is very hard to find some investments with little or no risk (especially online). My advice would be to stay out of the HYIP industry as it is very easy to lose money than it is to earn. And the returns promised from HYIP owners can be VERY tempting.
Also, since you are a newbie, be VERY careful about scams online. There are a lot of fraud on the Internet and it is very easy to fall prey to online scammers even for more experienced people. Always do a research on your own about some opportunity before you jump to a conclusion that it may be ok.
Earning money is NOT easy as many people claim to be. It requires a LOT of work and dedication. Since you have 40k, you can achieve your goals a LOT faster than many others, but be careful!
The best investment you will ever make is to invest in yourself. Use that money you have to start your own online business and learn a lot about Internet and Internet Marketing. You could for example use fraction of that money to register a domain, build up a website and promote it online (or hire a freelancer to do all that stuff for you). Also if you hire a freelancer to do a Search Engine Optimization, you could have a nice stream of targeted visitors and huge potential income for years to come.
