Just to let you and everyone else know, that the 11 grand is for their 65-inch TV, not the 108-inch.

Sharp plans to put the TV on sale in the U.S. in the middle of this year. It didn't provide any pricing details. Sharp's 65-inch LCD TV carries a retail price of $10,999.

dear god, no way. thats insane. you can get a decent car for not much more than that! I had a 65 inch regular hdtv, and it only ran me a couple grand. Thats not even a good brand! Even for a sony I wouldnt pay that much

No problem, have to imagine what the 108-inch will be. It's $169.30 per INCH for the 65-incher, so 108 could be 18+ grand. Ouch!
