What do your friends and Family think of HYIPs?

I'm just wondering, how everyone goes about telling their friends and family about their dealings in HYIPs? Do you tell your friends and family about how you invest into these programs, or do you keep it a secret?

I personally tell my family but really haven't mentioned anything about them to my personal friends. My family thinks I'm nuts for investing into these programs, but then again, I'm making money and they're not

I don't tell my friends, because I don't wanna seem like some nerdy computer geek who is trying to make money off of it. I'll tell them one day, but not sure when lol.

Anyone else have experiences telling their friends, or family, and what were their reactions?

95% of people think you can't make money on the internet. Why waste your time to prove them wrong?

I don't bother telling people, it just ends up to be a one sided battle.

A couple of my friends know that I like to invest but they don't know about online HYIP programs because these are a just a game for me, like gambling.

90% or so of the people do not know that you can do almost anything on the Internet that is why they have this fake impression.

Yeah I agree. Thats another reason I don't tend to tell my family and friends too much about these programs, as I really don't think they have enough internet experience to know exactly what they are. Whenever I do tell someone about them, I make sure I tell them to read a lot of stuff on talkgold before then even consider investing.

I think first 2-5 months people only loose money in HYIPs so its is not good to tell friends about HYIPs or make them refferals because they don't have proper experience.

If you don't tell your family and friends, how can you advise them?

I share it only with those closest to me.

I don't think most people would even find HYIPs online if you didn't tell them about it. If they did find out then I'd advise them.

Good point rcox...paw was interested when I visited I was always onto hyip...hogging his puter etc. Flo came along and he, being a sceptical investor said he's in for 300. That was April. I told him every month....X might do the dine and dash. He took out his initial, at my request...then bought panda out of his profits.

He now has a secure computer, but has since learned about hyip...and prefers his mutual funds LOL We are just as close as always...and he has a bit of insight into hyip world.

All in all hyip has been very good to me and mine. In a warped sense of way .

No, I don't get my friends and family involved in hyips because I know how most end up. I'll let them know about it but I don't pressure them to spend money. I tell them to read everything thoroughly before you decide and I do let them know that 99% of these programs are scams.

I was not invited by any other party when I discovered this HYIP thing until I found FF while searching for "forex" in google..
