Few days ago I was still very dissapointed and worried about the (possible) evening fall of Prime-fund.
Now, few days later already I see some sun shining again. Why? Because one lesson I learned at the beginning and I acted according to it.
Diversification!
I see that from all over the interest payments still come in. Po-trading, Sonicinvestments, dutchservice and....... Astra-systems. This last one was a big surprise because I did not even had invested there. However, someone has signed up as a referral and I thank this person very much. I got $40 from this persons deposit! That money now I have requested to my e-gold but for sure I will use it again to invest in Astra.
What is the meaning of this story? Simple: diversify and use also your referral links and you can come over the troubles we all have to face once and awhile.

Yes I agree, that diversificaton is key no matter what investment area you are in. Whether it is HYIPs, Stocks, Bonds, Forex, or even Real Estate, you are always safer if you diversify.

Jan, diversification it the key element of investing! Well, one of them! If you can't obey the rules, you shouldn't invest!
I don't invest more than 5% of my funds (reserved for HYIPS) in one program. By doing so I can separate about 20 best hyips from the rest and concentrate on those. I have noticed, that trying to invest in more will blur my vision and I will miss some red flags and make miscalculations.

Usually I put for example, If I have $1000, put $50 on a high risk ponzi and another $50 in another. Lasts $900 so put $500 on stable investment like FeederFund so I can compound it every month on FXIG for example and the $400 splited to autosurfs and midle risk Hyips.
Diversifying is safer If you don't put money only on high risk investments.

When I just got started I did my fair share of diversification. I spent days to check out various HYIPs for my list and in the end thought I had come up with a stable bunch. The idea was: a well spread portfolio, not too much risk of them all dying. I used 200 dollars as play money and spread it out over some 8 or so programmes. Not a lot of money, but that's why it's called 'play money'.
Thanks to that diversification game I did not lose all my money at once. I lost it incrementally Some programmes didn't last more than 2 days, some got me back about 50% of my principal. Eventually they all died and none of them were in profit for me.
I am currently in far less HYIPs with more money in each, all but one of them in profit and one almost getting there.
Moral of the story: diversification only goes so far. A bit of experience, a well trained 'gut' feeling and some luck will be needed as well

Diversification will it does secure you in a way from losing all you capital on the other hand as your capital is broken up you cannot make as much interest on it I find.
But saying that i have broken up my orginal capital in fear of losing it all at the star, I believe that it is the right thimg to do when starting out and as your experience grows you can change your ways.
