Can you please expand on your findings?
Firefox is constantly updated. Yeah, there's some bugs in the latest version but Mozilla are aware of them, they list them. Why do you suppose they would move on (and on) from version 1.5 if that was so perfect?
Please can you tell me what was so good (and stable) about version 1.5 that updated versions are lacking?
I note that yesterday you were using IE6 and Win98SE? Were you serious? Do you have electricity or is your computer steam driven or wind up?
Oh man, the greatest cause of vulnerabilities is not updating your browser to the latest version and by running IE.
Do yourself a favour, dump IE and get the latest version of Firefox. Once you've done that maybe your posts in "PC Security" will be taken seriously.
